Florence Dominates, Dark Horses Shine at Hawaiian ProNov 18, 2016
The upsets started early during the Quarterfinals of the Hawaiian Pro. Marc Lacomare set the tone when he took down 11x World Champ Kelly Slater and No. 2-ranked Qualifying Series standout Leo Fioravanti.
Another on-fire goofyfooter, Connor O'Leary, advanced as well, working his way toward the top of the QS rankings. However, in Heat 2 there were no surprises, as John John Florence posted another dominant performance with back-to-back 9-point rides.
Then CT veteran Jadson Andre kept the upset train rolling when he ended the heroic runs of QS startups Griffin Colapinto and Victor Bernardo.
